What is Miva Merchant and where do I find documentation on it?
Miva Merchant is a browser-based Storefront and Catalog development tool that integrates cataloging, product maintenance, category management, shopping basket, order and credit card processing. Do I still need a merchant account with Miva Merchant?
Miva Merchant gives you the tools to easily process online orders. But if you plan on being able to accept credit card payments, you will need to establish a merchant account. For additional information on merchant accounts, please refer to our Merchant Account page. Please note that an excellent alternative to having your own Merchant Account is to use PayPal.

Can I take orders with Miva Merchant and not use credit cards?
Yes. Your customers can place their orders online. You can then process them after receiving payment by any other means you desire, such as check, wire transfer, etc.

Can I install and use my own shopping cart?
Yes. Feel free to use your own in-house developed shopping cart or one provided by a third-party. However, we can not offer support for your shopping cart software unless specific arrangements have been made with us in advance.

What type of support do you offer on Miva E-Commerce software?
Miva provides support directly to all valid license holders of their products. We will help as much as possible in answering your questions concerning the Miva shopping programs. We have trained staff members that are familiar with its operation, but there may be times when we will need to refer you directly to Miva.

How do I install Miva E-Commerce software?
If your account comes with the Miva E-Commerce software, then login to your Web Control Panel at http://YourDomainName.com/cgi-bin/plusmail and select Applications, then check Miva Merchant and hit Install Service.
The software will be installed within 15 minutes and you will find a directory called /Merchant2 in your WWW directory when completed.
Your next step will be to register the product. Go to http://YourDomainName.com/Merchant2/setup.mv and do the initial registration and configuration. Use the Merchant Wizard to help with Miva Merchant.

I just installed Miva. How do I get to my administration screen?
If you have completed your setup, you should find your administration screen by going to your new URL. It will probably look something like the following:
http://www.yourdomain.com/Merchant2/admin.mv
However, if you have not completed your setup yet, you will not be able to get to your Administration screen. You will have to start with 'setup.mv'.

How do I upgrade Miva Merchant?
If you are entitled to a Miva Merchant upgrade and obtained your license through us, you can do the following:
Login to your Web Control Panel, select Applications, select Miva Merchant and hit submit. Allow 15 minutes for the upgrade to occur. Then, go to http://YourDomainName.com/Merchant2/upgrade.mv and enter your password to finish the upgrade.

What does the 'Fulfillment' module do?
The 'Fulfillment' module sends you e-mail when you get an order through your store.
